Foundation KickOff Campaign

The formative University of Missouri College of Engineering (UMCOE) Foundation conducted its initial fundraising campaign in November 2010, with an appeal to the Dean’s Engineering Advisory Council for the Foundation’s start-up expenses and initial funding support to COE.  This campaign has been successful in paying some of the initial Foundation expenses and starting its web-based outreach also. It also enabled the Foundation to start the Dean’s Reserve Fund for use in unfunded administrative, faculty and staff activities or professional events.  As of April 1, 2011, the Foundation’s initial campaign raised $25,700 from 20 contributors, with the most significant contributions coming from the Pillsbury Foundation (Don and Mary Pillsbury Wainwright) and a stock donation from Kent and Patricia Bankus.  Several contributions also have pending matching fund donations from donor employers.
